Eazy Move is the easy way to move around heavy items on wheels.
If you have ever returned from a weekend or holiday, and everyone wants to rush inside and leave you alone to park the trailer, boat, or caravan, Eazy Move (Patent No. 2004/9611) comes to the rescue.
Eazy Move is a mechanical device that is built as compact as possible and is designed to easily and safely move around a caravan, boat, or trailer when it needs to be parked or moved in small or difficult-to-maneuver spaces where normal towing is not possible. Eazy Move is driven by a reversible hand drill. This means you can use any portable drill (AC or Cordless). There are no wires or switches that can malfunction.
- Portable – Take Eazy Move where you will need it.
- Compact – Fits in your car's boot.
- Easy to power – Uses a reversible drill. Any portable drill will work.
- Compatible – Can be used on older model caravans.

We answer your questions
-
How much does the Eazy Move weigh?
The total weight is 12kg.
-
What drill can be used to power the Eazy Move?
Any reversible drill can be used – any portable drill (AC or Cordless DC drill) will work.
-
Why is a drill used to power the Eazy Move, and not a fixed motor?
- To make the unit lighter.
- The drill is normally part of any household, and can be used for other projects.
- To save on cost.
- The drill also has a reversible switch and reduction speed control, so it provides the user with a range of speeds to maneuver.
-
How big is the Eazy Move?
It can easily fit into the boot of a car or onto a bakkie to take with you to a camping site.
-
Tell me about fitting the Eazy Move to a caravan, boat, or trailer.
The Eazy Move is a compact hook-on device. It attached the same way onto the "female" hook-up of your caravan, boat or trailer as a normal tow-bar ball. It has a small H-frame which is attached to the caravan, boat or trailer, and secured to the Eazy Move with two wing nuts, quick and easy.
-
Is the Eazy Move safe to operate?
The vehicle being maneuvered cannot run away. As soon as the drill is stopped, the whole movement is stopped/braked via the reduction gearbox. This gives you total control of the movement of the vehicle.
-
How can you prevent wheel spin of the Eazy Move on an incline?
When the Eazy Move starts to spin on an incline, get someone to sit on the V-frame of the vehicle. This will put more weight on the wheels of the Eazy Move which improves traction.
-
How powerful (Wattage) must the drill be?
The size (power) of the drill depends on the size of the caravan, boat or trailer. A 900 Watt drill works well with a medium sized caravan.
-
What degree of a slope or incline can the Eazy Move handle?
This depends on various factors:
- The size and weight of your caravan, boat or trailer.
- The power (wattage) of your drill.
- The surface where the maneuver is taking place. (paving or a cement surface works best).
- Do you want to "push" it up an incline, or "pull" it up? Better results are achieved if the vehicle is "pushed", as there is then more weight on the wheels of the Eazy Move.
-
Does the Eazy Move change the ground clearance?
No. The ground clearance is not changed in any way.
